A good chunk of women, including myself, don’t feel completely dressed until and unless they have paired their favourite outfit with a stylish pair of heels. If you are a fashionable person, then you must know that not all heels can go well with every outfit. Therefore, it is important to have sound knowledge about the different types of heels and where to wear them.

Block Heel

Block heels don’t just look super stylish, but a solid heel also tends to distribute your body’s weight differently, compared to thinner heels. Thus, they take a little pressure off the front of your foot, which results in a more comfortable stand.

These type of heels are pretty perfect for any chic-formal party as they have a square-based shape that can be easily worn, with a funky look. So, pair up your chunky heels with a summer dress or a mini or mid-length suite.

Cone heels

The cone heel is defined by a thick, sturdy base for a secure stand and a narrow, delicate tip. As the name suggests it’s almost like an ice cream cone on your heel! This heel style is versatile and timeless. These heels can go with any informal dress but you can also pair your cone heels with a skater dress to give you a chic look.

Kitten heels

If you don’t want sky-high heels yet wish to have a hint of heels that will lend you height, go for kitten heels. These types of heels are also great if you’re on the taller side but don’t want to abstain from wearing pretty heels because of it.

They are short, slender heels not more than 3.5 centimetres. If you have running around to do and yet wish to add length to your look, these are perfect. Wear them with a pleated skirt and a blouse.

Peep toes

Peep-toe heels are available in various shapes and sizes but they’re basically open at the toes and the heels can be small or sky-high.

You can wear them to work with well-fitted trousers but make sure your toenails are painted in a fun colour for that extra dose of drama.

Slingbacks

Slingbacks are defined by a thin strap around the heel, which secures the foot on the shoe. The absence of straps on the bridge of your feet visually elongates and slims your leg.

You can wear these types of heels with a pair of boyfriend jeans but make sure you roll them up just a little so the slingbacks are visible.
