Quick and Easy Glenfiddich Whisky Recipe

It’s Friday! Woohoo!

Oh wait, turns out this is just another normal day since we can’t go for happy hour.

Coronavirus has done us a good one this year. It’s days like these we used to take our dancing shoes out to spend time with our friends over a good bottle of fine whisky.

Lucky for you, I’ve got just the thing for you to look forward to the weekend.

We all love a great bottle of whisky. Right? Famous American television host, Johnny Carson, once said, “Happiness is having a rare steak, a bottle of whisky, and a dog to eat the rare steak.” And I totally relate with that😉

Even with bars and night clubs closed, you can still enjoy an old fashioned whisky at the comfort of your home.

Ready to take up this challenge? Here is what you need:

  • 1/2 Orange
  • 2 spoons of sugar
  • 2 spoons of Angostura bitters
  • To Taste Soda water
  • 2 shots of 12-year-old Glenfiddich
  • 1 Sliced Orange to garnish the glass

Step 1: Squeeze half an orange into a glass. To squeeze it, you use a hand juicer with a strainer to remove the extra pulp from the juice.

Step 2: Add 2 spoons of sugar to the juice and stir until fully dissolved.

Step 3: Pour 2 spoonfuls of Angostura bitters and mix.

Step 4: Add ice cubes according to your preference

Step 5: Pour some soda water. The amount depends on you.

Step 6: Add 2 shots of 12 year old Glenfiddich and stir.

Step 7: Garnish the mouth of your glass with a slice of orange.

And with that, you’ll have yourself an old fashioned Glenfiddich whisky right at the comfort of your home, all thanks to Glenfiddich.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab the new 12-year-old Glenfiddich bottle at your nearest supermarket (Chandarana, Carrefour, Quickmart and Naivas) and create magic!

Let me know how your old fashioned whisky turned out in the comments.
