Putting on makeup when you have oily skin can feel pointless. You will look flawless at the beginning of the day, but halfway through the day, you will look like a hot mess. Because oily skin tends to produce excess oils during the day than normal skin, the skin ends up looking sweaty and greasy. Now imagine having makeup on top of all that greasiness and sweat – total disaster! It is for this reason that many women with oily skin type tend to stay away from doing makeup. However, if you have oily skin and love putting on makeup, there’s hope for you. Matte foundations are the answer to all your oily skin problems when it comes to makeup. Even better, there are many matte foundations that you can choose from for oily dark skin now, unlike a few years ago. Here are some of the best-reviewed matte foundations for women with dark oily skin:

Maybelline Foundations

If you are worried about spending crazy amounts on foundations, you don’t have to worry because this brand is on the lower price points. Maybelline has two foundations that women with oily skin types can choose from – Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation and Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation.

The Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation is perfect for women who have very oily skin because it has a very dry fish. On the other hand, the Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation has a more dewy but matte foundation and can be used by women who have normal to oily dark skin types.

L’Oreal Foundations

The L’Oréal brand comes in two matte foundations – the L’Oreal True Match Foundation and L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation. For women with oily skin, this brand could be what you’ve been searching for all along.

The L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation is oil-free, long-lasting, and has an air-light texture and demi-matte finish. This means it’ll keep oil at bay without looking completely flat, allowing for a more natural-looking complexion. The L’Oréal True Match Foundation, on the other hand, can be used by a range of skin types, from normal to oily skin.

Revlon Foundation

If you have oily dark skin, then you will be amazed by this product’s ability to control shine and breakouts. However, not all of Revlon’s foundations are matte. When purchasing this foundation, just make sure you look for the Revlon Colorstay foundation for oily/combination skin. Additionally, it is cheap, easy to apply and feels extremely light on the skin.

This oil-free foundation delivers a flawless matte finish for oily and combination skin and wears for up to 24 hours.
