Nairobi is already buzzing with Valentine’s Day excitement. Everyone (especially those in relationships) seems to be on edge as the 14th comes closer and for good reason. Valentine’s Day is the one day in the whole year when you have the opportunity to show your loved one how much they mean to you. For this reason, it’s only sensible to plan a romantic dinner or even lunch for both of you to enjoy. If you want to blow your loved one’s mind but have no idea where to take them for a romantic meal, this list is just what you need. Here are 3 of the most recommended restaurants in Nairobi for you and your partner to celebrate Valentine’s this year:
Located on the 20th Floor of One Africa Place, Waiyaki Way, INTI restaurant is the perfect venue to make new memories this Valentine’s Day with your lover. Not only with the Peruvian-Japanese fusion food blow your minds away, but so will the backdrop scene of the city. The huge curved glass windows will have the set a romantic mood that both you and your partner cannot deny. A few housekeeping rules at INTI; you must make a reservation and they do have a dress code- Smart Casual (Vest, Shorts, Flip Flops, Sportswear & Caps are NOT permitted).
The ambience alone of this restaurant should be the number one reason why you celebrate Valentine’s Day here. Located at Kenrail Towers in Westlands, Mercado Kitchen and Bar is the perfect location for all Mexican cuisine lovers, not to mention their very nice cocktails. The restaurant is very popular so it’s best to make reservations first as it gets busy especially in the evenings.
The vintage concept of the Harvest restaurant alone will set the mood for a fantastic Valentine’s Day lunch/dinner. Situated in Village Market’s Trademark Hotel, the modern and spacious restaurant on the second floor serves fusion cuisine with a good selection of wines. And despite being located in a mall, the atmosphere is upscale and chic!
So far, these three restaurants do it for me when it comes to setting that romantic mood during Valentines. Which other locations are worth experiencing this Valentines in Nairobi? I’d love to hear all your suggestions, guys.
