Do you ever get the feeling that your weekend went by so fast that you barely enjoyed it?
Turns out, it’s a pretty common issue for most of us who work from Monday to Friday.
We look so much forward towards the weekend but barely get to enjoy it’s “sweetness”.
Thing is, we end up sabotaging our weekends by cramming in a month of chores or going zombie in front of the TV.
Either way, the weekend is a bust. If you want to feel truly refreshed by Monday morning, take to heart, because the findings of numerous studies showing that in addition to eating, relaxing, and sex, women enjoy themselves most when they’re socializing, engaging in spiritual activities, and exercising.
So, to make the most of your weekend, be sure to do some of the things I will list below:
The best and easiest way to spend your weekend is knowing forehand of almost the things you are going to be doing.
If possible not everything down on a piece of paper and strive to achieve all the things in your to do list.
Make sure to include fun things!
Don’t Drink too Much
This is where most of us go wrong. When Friday comes along, we get too excited and over indulge in alcohol.
We then spend the most part of our Saturdays nursing a hangover and not being able to do anything at all.
One or two drinks after work is okay. Just make sure you don’t overdo it and spoil your whole weekend.
You don’t have to necessarily go hard on exercising. Unless you want to be sore come Monday morning.
It could be as simple as getting outdoors and talking a walk, going on a hike with your friends, go swimming or a nature trail.
Doing the same things every other weekend can be quite boring. Therefore, to make the best out of your Weekends, strive to do something different each weekend.
That’s why it’s important to plan ahead.
You can have a road trip with your friends, go swimming or take a hike. There are just so many things you can do during this time.
Have some me time
It’s very easy to get carried away by all the activities that take place during the weekend.
Therefore, it’s important to slot in some alone time where you can just enjoy your own company or get to relax.
This can be as easy as taking a relaxing bath before hopping into bed, reading a new novel, meditating, getting a massage or getting a pedicure.
One mistake we often make over the weekend is allowing thoughts of Monday morning and the work that is waiting for us to take over our ability to fully enjoy our Sunday.
You can keep off the Sunday blues by making sure you have something planned not just for Saturday but also for Sunday, such as a brunch or dinner with others.
