Nothing beats the cold than a warm turtleneck! However, these tops or sweaters whose neckline goes high up the neck to under the chin are not only limited to the cold season. They are so versatile and easy to style that you can wear them anytime or any season and still look like a true fashionista. Especially loved in France, turtlenecks have now become a staple everywhere else around the world. If you have been racking your brain on how to style turtlenecks this or any other season, here are some fresh ideas you can use and add to your look book:
When styling your turtlenecks with skirts, you can either go tight and formfitting or loose depending on the look you are going for. As you can see in the pictures, I have styled both formfitting and loose turtlenecks with different styles of skirts.
Under a dress
Layering a turtleneck under a dress is a chic and fashion-forward way to transition your outfit for the colder months. The turtleneck under your summer sleeveless dress can either be paired with boots, heels and even sneakers, depending on the look you’re going for. This look is easy to pull off and provides a nice change in pace for your everyday look.
This look is not only appropriate for the colder seasons but also for a night out when you want to stay warm and comfy! Would you rock this look?
Under a dungaree
Dungarees are so in right now! But if you don’t like the bare feeling it gives you, you can wear a turtleneck under it and have heads turning in the streets. Dungarees are playful but you can turn them into business casual staples if you pair your outfit with some heels.
This is probably the easiest way to style your turtlenecks and that is why it came last in this look book. You can either wear turtlenecks to the office with a pair of office-appropriate pants or pair them with jeans for a more casual look.
