First Dates

Hey guys! Have you ever gone on a first date and blocked them immediately the date was over because of the questions they asked?

Even worse, have you ever gone on a date, had an awesome time but didn’t hear from them after that? It’s probably because of the questions that you asked during the date.

First dates can be nerve-wracking. When your nerves get the best of you, it’s easy to blurt out something weird in the heat of the moment. That’s why it’s good to prepare yourself and know what questions or topics to avoid early on.

Here are some of the questions to steer clear off on a first date:

Why did your last relationship end?

Tempting as it may be, stay away from this question on a first date.

Nobody wants to spend time complaining about their ex and why their past relationship didn’t work out. It is best to wait until you’ve gone on a few more dates to ask this question.

Remember that this is a date, not an interrogation.

How much money do you make?

No matter how much they make, most people are not comfortable about talking about their paychecks.

It’s normal to talk about your careers but asking someone to reveal how much they make is intrusive.

While it’s good to be interested in what your date does for a living, don’t show interest in money. You’ll look like an opportunist.

How many people have you slept with?

This is one of the most inappropriate and intrusive questions to ask on a first date.

Quite frankly, the number of people someone else has slept with is no one’s business but their own. When you ask this question, your date will feel put on the spot and judged if he or she chooses to answer.

Do you have kids?

This another intimate and intrusive question that you stay away from on a first date.

Single moms and dads looking for love are very guarded about this question. In fact, before asking this question, ask yourself this. Do you want to spend the rest of the date talking about kids or getting to know more about your date?

What’s your favorite sex position?

Anything sex related is a no go zone.

Asking this question on a first date will make you look like a pervert and will put your date off.

Maybe you thought this would be funny or a great way to break the ice—wrong.

Do you want to go back to my place?

A first date is an opportunity to get to know the person in front of you, and that person will feel a bit violated if the conversation heads here.

It’s just uncouth. Unless your aim is to have sex that night, keep the flirting lighthearted.
