Sophisticated Fashion Style

The sophisticated fashion style can be associated with the classic style by only one thing in the outfits. Quality.

However, to distinguish this style from the other fashion styles, think of words such as refined, elegant, current, calm, grown-up and confident and you will get a clear picture of this style.

The sophisticated fashion style is usually associated with women who are from higher status and are also in a way related to how a businesswoman would dress up.

Sophisticated can be characterized as businesswoman minus the formal look. Culture and luxury mean the most to the people who choose this style of fashion.

Here is how to spot this fashion style:

Clothes are perfectly clean, straightened and ironed

Women who identify with the sophisticated fashion style go for a polished and well put together look. Therefore to achieve this, their clothesshould always look perfectlty clean cut and ironed.

The outfits should also perfectly fit. You can’t really look sophisticated in baggy shirts and bottoms.

Coats to bring out this style

Elegant posh coats are a perfect way to bring sophistication to your look.

You don’t necessarily have to wear them. Draping them on your shoulders goes a long way in lifting your look for an elegant look.

Designer Accessories

Designer pieces should be a statement of sophistication and that is usually what designer bags, shoes or watches do.

Heels over Flats

It’s not that you can’t pull off a sophisticated look on flats, but heels will always do the trick much better.

Matching colours

For a sophisticated look, you should match the colours in your outfit carefully. Make sure nothing is too much such that it is classy and makes people turn their heads just because of its stylishness, not because something is in-their-face.

I like dressing up… that’s why I can’t miss any of your posts.. I love you content and I love your style as well… what would you advice those who are insecure about some parts of their body? Eg those who can’t wear short dressing because maybe they have very slim legs or marks on their legs?

    • Mercy Jerono says:

Hi Betty, thank you for your kind words. As for any insecurities, the first step is to embrace them. Love yourself and do not see them as shortcomings. The next thing would be to look for clothing that covers them up but in a stylish and flattering way. I hope this helps.
